Maslianico is located on the southwestern shore of Lake Como, next to Cernobbio and just a short distance from the Swiss border. The quiet village is not a tourist destination in its own right, but it serves as a convenient base for exploring Como and the southern part of Lake Como.

Maslianico is located on the southwestern shore of Lake Como, directly next to Cernobbio and on the Swiss border. Covering just 1.3 km², it is one of the smallest municipalities around the lake. The village has a predominantly residential character and is generally not considered a tourist destination in its own right.

Close to Como and Switzerland

Maslianico’s greatest asset is its location. The historic centre of Como is just a few minutes away, as are Cernobbio, its lakeside promenade and Villa Erba. The Swiss border is also within walking distance, making destinations such as Chiasso and Lugano easily accessible.

A peaceful base for exploring Lake Como

Don’t expect historic landmarks or lively piazzas here. Maslianico is primarily a convenient base for visitors who want to stay close to Como while avoiding the bustle of the city.
