BB Il Giardino Botanico in Maslianico… If you’re passing through the area near Lake Como or looking for a quiet place to stay for a few days not far from the shores of the lake, then BB Il Giardino Botanico in Maslianico is a good option.
After our booking, we received a detailed route plan via email from the owner. This proved very useful because the streets are narrow, not all accessible with a larger car, and also quite steep uphill.
We park in the garden of the BB on a quiet street and are warmly welcomed with a cup of tea. There are two of us, but we are given the suite: a small bathroom with a sink, shower, and toilet, and two rooms that are not large but very neat, with a view of the garden and the terrace below. The lake is not visible from here.
The owners suggested two nearby restaurants for dinner. We walk (about fifteen minutes) to Ristorante Della Torre in Cernobbio, where we enjoy a delicious meal, this time with a view of the lake.
We sleep very peacefully, and at 7:30 am (half an hour earlier than usual at our request because we have a long journey ahead) an extensive breakfast by Italian standards is ready for us.
We pay 80 euros (cash only) for the night plus breakfast for two and leave with a good feeling. BB Il Giardino Botanico… highly recommended.
