Casa Perrotta is an absolute must-visit. A bullseye. Sublime... Excellent value for money and all in a cozy and accessible setting.
The setting is modern. Sleek decor, simple with a design touch. The reception is genuinely friendly. A young lady lets us choose a table. In the background, soft piano music is playing. Immediately, the word “living room feeling” comes to mind. And then the nod to the name Casa Perrotta is quickly made. Yes, this is going to be a pleasant evening.
The menu features some à la carte dishes and two set menus, a five-course menu “Dal Sud al Nord” for 55 euros and a six-course menu “Sensazioni” for 65 euros. It is essentially a choice between meat or fish. And that choice is made in a snap, sensation, please!
We order two glasses of prosecco, ideal with the aperitif snacks, presented on a patch of artificial grass. A crispy cheese and ham bite with a tomato jelly, a soft potato with a truffle crust, a meatball, and a crispy pasta ball with seaweed… Delicious!

The first dish is a fried oyster with a bruschetta tomato sauce, followed by whiskey-marinated salmon with ginger mayonnaise. Meanwhile, a beautiful assortment of bread is on the table. It must be said, the homemade crispy focaccia tastes absolutely delicious. The black crispy gnocchi with cuttlefish ink and shrimp in a lobster bisque are our favorite. Dish number four is sea bass with a zucchini cream and a seaweed crisp. Each dish is beautifully presented and excels in simplicity while offering a very rich palette of flavors.

We end the menu with two desserts: a unique interpretation of a Cuba Libre in a glass and a chocolate bomb as crumble, ganache, and ice cream.
The service is friendly, discreet, and efficient. A small downside, our wine bottle is not yet empty when we sip our coffee. It would have been nice if they poured it a bit faster, especially since our wine bottle was not on the table.
Casa Perrotta is an absolute must-visit, a bullseye. We paid just under 200 euros for a six-course menu and aperitif at a Michelin-starred restaurant. In terms of price-quality ratio, few can beat Casa Perrotta.
With last year’s Berton al Lago debacle in mind, this is a delightful confirmation that there are affordable top-notch restaurants around Lake Como waiting for you!
